a rose for a lady | { nakamorisan }

nakamorisan:

“Y-Yeah, Nakamori Aoko.” She says with a nervous tone inside her voice, she just couldn’t help it.

Still, too many question crossing her mind right now. Why’d he suddenly gave her a rose? Just why? Once again, somehow something like this seems really familiar for Aoko. But she just couldn’t remember about it anymore.

Rose, rose, rose. What’s wrong with a rose? Just why it always kept repeating again, again and again? Or maybe…He likes her in a romantic way?! No, just no.

Aoko quickly shakes her head, just what’s wrong with her. She just arrived at Amaranth two days ago, and she’s a new student at this school and he already have a crush on her? Just no. Aoko face turns really red, this is too embarassing for thinking something like this towards a stranger. But he really looks familiar, but who?

“I’m Kuroba Kaito. We’re classmates, i just wanted to welcome you to Amaranth.”

OH, JUST OH. She finally knows why’d he gave that rose towards her, at least it won’t bothering her for a while— At least….She have to take the rose now, or it will be kinda awkward.

Aoko takes the rose from his hand slowly  and nodding her head. “Um, thank you..?” She says, why’d her words sounds like a question.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Kuroba-kun!” Finally, she gives him a smile.

But why called him Kuroba-kun felt so weird?

The faint tinting of red upon her cheeks entices his grin to enlarge  Wow. She really was pretty. As she takes the rose he relaxes just a bit, glad to see a connection is now made, and promptly folds his arms behind his head with a sheepish smile. At least he now knew why he knew her name! He had probably dozed off during class when she was being introduced and, in a half-asleep daze, saw her face and wondered who she was. It was likely that the “flickers” in his head were nothing more than delusions and he relaxes. The introduction and pleasantry is met with him lowering his arms behind his head, a brow arched slightly because her calling him Kuroba-kun sounded odd, but he passes it up, It was likely because he had been dealing with a lot of people who didn’t use that in his name.

“The pleasure is all mine Nakamori-san,” Kaito responds with his lips upturning into a more playful smile as he rests his elbow on her shoulder { gently enough not to hurt her } as he scratches the side of his face. This position felt comfortable, like he had done it with her before, but he passes it off as a mere coincidence as he gestures around with his free arm. “Listen, I…” he trails off as he tries to think of what to say since he could just walk away now and know they were “friends” without doing anything else, “… I was wondering if you’d like to, maybe if you’re free, stop by an ice cream parlor and get something to eat?” He pauses as he realizes it sounds like he’s asking her out after only just having met her and quickly lifts his elbow off her shoulder while waving his hands in front of him. “I mean not in the “date” kind of way but a “ice cream is really good and something everyone enjoys and I think you’d like it and we can talk and stuff” kind of way! You know? Ah-heh.

Smooth, Kuroba.

‘What’s wrong with me?’

It was started from the way that her class started. She was a new a student there, nothing special. She just listened to the teacher before she got a weird feeling that someone was watching her there, inside that class. Aoko Nakamori turned her head to the right then to the left, but no one had a suspicious look there. But then she just shook her head and came back to listen to the teacher once again.

After the class ended, those weird feelings still there. She quickly put all of her books inside her school bag and made her way out of the class quickly as well.

Back to the present time, she was taking her steps a little bit faster than before. She feels that someone still watching her, right here—right now.  Duh, she’s not going to steal anything!

“Ugh..”

She mumbles towards herself as she takes another step, again, again and again. She hugs her own book – closer to her own chest — tightly as she walks down the school hall.  She just couldn’t believe that those feeling wouldn’t go away from her, someone was following her for the entire time! She couldn’t help her curious feelings and it makes she stops in the middle of the hallway of the school. A frown appears on her face and she turns around quickly—

A brunette haired boy with a beautiful blue eyes who busy watching the sky standing not really far away from her, with both of his hands inside of his pockets. She couldn’t help it but tilts her head to the side while watching the boy with still a frown on her face. Somehow he looks really familiar for her, but who?

Déjà vu or something like that?

No, it’s not. She knew him, she really knew him from somewhere. But who is it? After a few seconds busy with her own world, Aoko just let out a nervous laugh and turns around with a nervous smile on her face.

“I must be dreaming! HA-HA!”

She says towards herself and when she gonna take another step, someone tapping her right shoulder which catches her attention and she slowly turns around to look at the one who did that. And poof! A pink smoke coming from nowhere and then suddenly and rose appears in front of her face, she looks up and there he is—That brunette haired boy. Aoko didn’t say anything at first, just starring at the rose for a while before she finally could let some words.

“Um, for me?”

It was evident by her expression that she hadn’t a clue who he was and a tinge of guilt resides inside him. It was likely foolish of him to follow after a girl, a stranger no less, just because he was picturing a familiar face and name in his head. Fighting back the urge to facepalm at himself he instead keeps the rose extended towards her with lips quirking more into a much larger grin. It’s only when she comments on it that he pauses, arching a brow in the process, before he releases a chuckle and nods.

Her voice is so familiar and it confirms that deep down he knows her. The lump swelled in his throat only helps confirm this as he tries to think of a response that wasn’t just muted motions. It was like deja vu though he has no idea why. Her name is in his head. Aoko. Aoko. It keeps repeating itself. Yet, perhaps, he had droned out in the middle of class and the teacher announced it? Maybe all those “memories”, or flickers he saw in his head, was some sort of wanting to introduce the “new girl” around the city. Either way he wasn’t about to let her know he had been following her because he swore he knew her. She’d think him a stalker.

… Of course following her from school and probably almost to her place wasn’t helping that theory.

You’re… Aoko… right?” Kaito is slow to suggest the name since he’s not sure if it’s correct. He would stand by his ‘teacher said it’ theory since   it wouldn’t be the first time he fell asleep or got distracted working on his magic instead of working on his notes or work. His grin remains settled upon his face, expression softening just briefly, as he waves the rose towards her in a playful fashion. “I’m Kuroba Kaito,” he pauses for a second to stop waving the rose and holds the stem carefully between two fingers so it could be seen by her better, “we’re classmates. I just wanted to welcome you to Amaranth.”

‘Hurry up, Kuroba, she’s getting away—!’

Kaito couldn’t believe he was doing this. For the last ten minutes after classes had ended he had been following a girl that looked insanely familiar home. Originally he hadn’t planned on doing this. Instead having spent a long moment pausing in bewildering aggravation as he weighed the decisions. Either find a way to meet her in class or surprise her outside of class to get a better look—? But overall his decision is made for him when he realized the bell was ringing and she was already gathering up to leave. And, for some reason, he’s startled by this and hurries to gather his books and race after her without thinking.

He had no idea how he intended to approach her. So he keeps himself a few feet back while both hands shove deep into the pockets of his pants and eyes nervously flit towards the sky high above. His pace goes from quick to slow, thoughts racing, while he tries to figure out why he felt this way.

He knew her. He was sure of that.

Her face would flicker into his memory and a few moments between them played out, namely one of him giving her a rose, but he couldn’t quite recall. He was certain they were close. Aoko. Aoko. That name continued to repeat until finally it drove him mad. he knows her. That’s all he knows. He doesn’t know how he knows her or WHY he knows her, save a few flickering moments lodged deep in his mind, but he wants to figure out WHY.

His gaze turns away from the sky and to her back, brows furrowed if but slightly, before he finally heaves a sigh and straightens up. He could do this. He had already seen her in class, near the front and away from him and his back row seat, and knew that if he didn’t catch up to her soon she’d likely get to her place.  Briskly he  moves forward to stand behind her before he reaches out, tapping her shoulder in the process, to garner her attention. And, when she turns, promptly snaps his fingers so a red rose — always hidden up his sleeve — appears in a puff of pink smoke and is extended towards her. He wouldn’t say anything and would just see if the rose he was presenting would be good enough for an introduction.
